More information isn’t the same as better decisions. On October 16, the ChangeInSight Data Equity Summit will bring together voices from technology, law, and philanthropy to talk through what responsible AI adoption actually looks like for organizations without a data science team on staff.
- Gina Chen (One Ally) — a corporate attorney turned community advocate, bringing a perspective shaped by both high-stakes deal-making and grassroots work in Chicago’s AAPI community.
- Julian Diaz (Julian Grace Foundation) — on where AI can strengthen measurement, and where it creates false confidence in weak data.
- Scott McLellan (Julian Grace Foundation) — on how AI is changing what funders receive, and what still makes evidence feel credible.
- Theo Lim (Synopsis) — on what separates useful implementation from adopting a tool because everyone else is.
The panel will dig into where AI is creating real value right now, what data requires extra caution, and what happens when systems are trained on datasets that underrepresent the communities we serve.
